C-47B MODERN GPS AUTOPILOT SYSTEM

The VSKYLABS C-47 is featuring dual setup for Autopilot configuration. This arrangement allows the cockpit to remain authentic and "old school", or to include a modern GNS and S-TEC autopilot equipment for pilots who want to use it.

Autopilot (S-TEC 55 Type):
Autopilot panel that allows a more modern autopilot features such as heading, alt-hold, NAV, approach etc... The panel is of the S-TEC 55 type.

To use it, make sure to engage the Autopilot Control Valve, during stable flight. Then, simply select the desired mode on the S-TEC panel and it will engage the autopilot. To select a heading, use the Rudder knob located on the Sperry panel, or use the OBS knob located on the instruments panel.

IMPORTANT: The S-TEC autopilot features are built on-top of the Sperry autopilot. For this reason, the S-TEC heading and course interception may be slower. It is normal, and the aircraft will get set on the desired heading/course gradually.

GNS530 / S-TEC Configuration - Can be toggled in-flight by interacting with the floating compass or via dedicated assignment.
